Kinder said David Spence now is Republicans' best chance to unseat Jay Nixon in 2012.

A Ladue businessman is the Republican frontrunner for the 2012 gubernatorial primary. Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder announced at 4 p.m. Friday that he is dropping out of the Missouri governor race, according to an Associated Press story. Blunt Backs Romney

Missouri's highest-ranking elected Republican has thrown his support behind the former Massachusetts governor.

Missouri’s highest-ranking elected Republican threw his support this week behind Mitt Romney’s presidential bid. Romney’s campaign announced Tuesday that Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) would be leading an effort to get more congressional lawmakers to endorse the former Massachusetts governor. A press release from Romney’s campaign stated that Blunt will be “spearheading the campaign’s effort to secure the support of Republican members in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.” Blunt played a similar role during the 2000 election for then Texas Gov. George W. Bush when he was a member of the U.S. House. Bush, of course, ended up winning the nomination and the presidency that year. “Our nation faces historic challenges today, and…

Have a yen for Chinese food in High Ridge? Check out China Wok where food is tasty and take out is fast.

Chinese cuisine is closer to High Ridge than one might expect thanks to China Wok, located at the intersection of Highway 30 west and High Ridge Blvd. China Wok’s official address is 1009 Crossroads Place and is housed in an unassuming strip center facing Highway 30. Cantonese, Hunan and America-Chinese dominate the menu and includes the mandatory  must haves—General Tso’s Chicken, Egg Foo Young and Chow Mein. Yet, beyond these Chinese classics are several surpises. There are five styles of Moo Shu with Mandarin pancakes, a Chinese gourmet specialty not often found on menus. Mei Fun is another unexpected item. Mei Fun is a noodle dish similar to Lo Mein but made with thin rice noodles instead of the heavier textured egg noodle. Triple …
