'Taste of Beasley' Raises Funds for SMART Boards

Hundreds of people packed the cafeteria and gymnasium for the event, and the halls were filled with vendors selling jewelry, arts and crafts, Christmas items and lots of clever knickknacks. Ticket sales and booth fees added up to $3,100 for the PTO.

Beasley Elementary School will be getting two new SMART Boards thanks to the ‘Taste Of Beasley’ sponsored by the school’s PTO on Thursday, November 15. The ‘Taste Of Beasley’ is the school’s largest fundraiser, and this year it featured 21 different restaurants and 31 vendors from across the area. Hundreds of people packed the cafeteria and gymnasium for the event, and the halls were filled with vendors selling jewelry, arts and crafts, Christmas items and lots of clever knickknacks. Ticket sales and booth fees added up to $3,100 for the PTO. Proceeds from the ‘Taste Of Beasley’ are used each year to purchase new technology for the school.
