Stamp Out Hunger Today With USPS

Leave your unopened non-perishable items next to your mailbox before letter carriers deliver the mail.

Today is the 21st Annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. St. Louisans are asked to place cans of unopened, non-perishable items next to their mailbox before their letter carrier delivers the mail this Saturday, May 11. Letter carriers will collect the food donations as they deliver the mail along their routes. Last year’s drive collected roughly 220,000 pounds of food for the St. Louis Area Foodbank, according to the Foodbank. The donations helped offset an increase in demand for food at the Foodbank and its network of more than 500 area food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens and other feeding programs.
