N-Bomb Drug: Police Call It a Dangerous Addition to St. Louis Area

The St. Louis County Police sent out a warning about the deadly hallucinogen after a West County parent said she believes her daughter may have been slipped N-Bomb at a New Year's Eve party and nearly overdosed.

St. Louis County Police are warning parents and teens about a new sythentic drug called "N-Bomb" that is already responsible for deaths in several states.  The name stems from its chemical composition, 2C-I-NBOMe or 25INBOMe, and police say it is a powerful hallucinogen that is a more potent and deadly derivative of mescaline.  In a news release, the St. Louis County Police said the substance has been purchased undercover in the metro area by drug detectives. Chief Tim Fitch said it's important for the public to be aware about the dangerous nature of this relatively new drug.  The statement from law enforcement was partly in response to a Chesterfield mother who said she believes her teenage daughter was offered N-Bomb at a New Year's Eve …

Two Arrested in Lemay Meth Lab Bust

Police found supplies for a methamphetamine lab in a house in the Lemay neighborhood.

Police arrested two subjects after finding a methamphetamine lab in a home in the 700 block of Bayless Avenue in the Lemay neighborhood. Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s South County Precinct searched the home Nov. 15 after receiving a call for a drug violation in progress there. Police found ingredients used to make methamphetamine, including two plastic soda bottles filled with chemicals, according to police. SEE RELATED STORIES

Police: Drugs, Money, Gun Recovered at Oakville Home

Police found a large amount of hash and almost $1,500 at the house on Huntington Valley Court and arrested two suspects.

Police recovered drugs, money and a weapon during a search in the 5700 block of Huntington Valley Court in Oakville. The St. Louis County Police responded to the Huntington Valley house on Nov. 1 for a drug violation in progress, according to the South County Precinct’s weekly blotter. The residents of the apartment consented to a search, which yielded a large amount of hash, some marijuana, $1,450 in cash, a loaded 9mm pistol and drug paraphernalia. Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute. SEE RELATED STORIES
