Oakville resident Kay Bach “dreams up” a better world through her work at Faith Lutheran Church.

Kay Bach, director of life groups and local missions at Faith Lutheran Church, has an interesting dream for a church project, and she dreams large. Her vision is to build a house on the Faith Church parking lot at 6101 Telegraph Road where all who drive by can watch its progress and, perhaps, participate in its construction. Her idea is not to create a permanent residence on the parking lot, but to allow the community of Oakville to build along with the church and to watch as a simple frame transforms into a home for a family in need. Sometimes, a solid reminder of a dream and a mission can inspire a whole community to action. At least, Bach hopes so.  “We are basically inviting the community to build a house with us.
