Man Charged With Endangering Children in Meth House, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said they found three unsupervised children ages 9 and under in a Mehlville house that was being used to make meth.

A man is charged with endangering his children after police found meth and meth ingredients in his home along with three unsupervised children ages 9 and under. David Hazelip, 31, of the 2200 block of Pecan Drive in Mehlville, was charged Friday with first-degree child endangerment. St. Louis County Police said an officer investigating a theft at a nearby convenience store had recognized Hazelip on video surveillance at the store. An officer went to Hazelip’s home and found three children ages 9, 8 and 5 in the house, according to a court document. The officer saw stolen property in the home and seized it, police said. Man Sets Off Smoke Alarm at Hotel, Busted for Meth in Motel the Next Day

Police found methamphetamine on a room occupant at the South County Holiday Inn after a smoke alarm was triggered in the room, then find the same renter at a meth lab at the Super 8 in Fenton.

A South County man who set off smoke alarms in a hotel Sunday while attempting to make methamphetamine was arrested the next day for trying to make meth in another motel room, police said. Stephen L. Langendorf, 19, of the 5700 block of Wieland Drive in South County, was charged Tuesday with two counts of possessing a meth precursor with intent to manfacture methamphetamine. St. Louis County Police said a smoke alarm was triggered Sunday at the Holiday Inn at 4234 Butler Hill Drive in Langendorf’s room. Police found meth ingredients and emptied pseudoephedrine blister packs in the room and found meth on one of the room’s occupants. Two Arrested in Lemay Meth Lab Bust

Police found supplies for a methamphetamine lab in a house in the Lemay neighborhood.

Police arrested two subjects after finding a methamphetamine lab in a home in the 700 block of Bayless Avenue in the Lemay neighborhood. Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s South County Precinct searched the home Nov. 15 after receiving a call for a drug violation in progress there. Police found ingredients used to make methamphetamine, including two plastic soda bottles filled with chemicals, according to police. SEE RELATED STORIES

South County Mother Made Meth in Home Alongside Four Children, Police Said

The Lemay woman faces drug trafficking and child endangerment charges.

A Lemay woman faces criminal charges for making methamphetamine in her home and endangering her four children. Linda Vanfleet, 45, of the 100 block of Kayser Avenue in Lemay, was charged Sept. 20 with second-degree drug trafficking, four counts of endangering a child, possessing chemicals with intent to make a controlled substance, and possessing a meth precursor drug with intent to make meth. St. Louis County Police said they received information that Vanfleet was making meth in her home. After getting consent to search the home April 3, officers said they found a one-pot meth lab with a “volatile liquid” inside. Meth Bust Leads to Trafficking Charge for Lemay Man

St. Louis County Police said they found 90 grams of meth in the man's home along with marijuana.

A Lemay man faces criminal charges after police said they found 90 grams of methamphetamine at his home. Alex Huelsman, 18, of the 800 block of Erskine Avenue, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in drugs and marijuana possession. St. Louis County Police said they searched Huelsman’s home Jan. 22 and found 90 grams meth and less than 35 grams of marijuana. Bond was set at $50,000. Couple Faces Meth Cooking Charges

St. Louis County Police said they had ingredients and intent to make methamphetamine.

A Lemay couple faces criminal charges for having methamphetamine ingredients. St. Louis County Police said in a report that Cory Cook, 26, and Brittany Ennis, 22, both of the 200 block of West Ripa in Lemay, were found on Sept. 8, 2011 in possession of pseudoephedrine and other ingredients used to cook methamphetamine. Police said ingredients were found in the couple's bedroom. They both were charged Tuesday with intent to make meth. Cook also was charged July 16 with possessing chemicals with the intent to make meth in Sunset Hills. Bond for Cook and Ennis was set at $5,000 each. Meth Trafficking Charges for South County Men

Police came to the home after the defendant's friends would not leave when requested.

A trespassing call turned into drug charges against two men in South County. A homeowner told St. Louis County Police that Zachary N. Chatfield’s friends would not leave her home on the 10900 block of Coral Ridge Drive in Concord. When police entered the homeowner’s basement on Nov. 25, they found 160 grams of methamphetamine and meth production ingredients and items, according to court documents. Two children under the age of 17 were in the home at the time, police said. Chatfield, 22, who lives in the home, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in drugs, possession of chemicals with intent to make meth and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Lemay Man Charged With Intent to Make Meth

Police said the man had pseudoephedrine in his room at the Econo Lodge Southwest.

A Lemay man was charged July 16 with possessing chemicals with the intent to make methamphetamine. Sunset Hills Police said that Cory Cook, 25, of the 200 block of West Ripa in Lemay, had pseudoephedrine in a room at the Econo Lodge Southwest, 3730 South Lindbergh Boulevard in Sunset Hills. Task Force Busts Mobile Meth-Making Couple in St. Charles

The man told the St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives he often makes his own meth in his car.

A couple was charged Thursday in St. Charles for making methamphetamine in the man’s car. Mark A. Smith, 26, of Elsberry, and Mary Melling, 24, of Moscow Mills, face charges of manufacturing and possessing meth. After a traffic stop at 2702 Droste Road in St. Charles Nov. 16, St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives searched Smith’s car and found a baggie with meth residue and ingredients used to make meth, according to court documents. Detectives said in a report that Smith admitted to buying pseudoephedrine and using it to make meth. Smith said he often makes meth in his car. He said he made the drug himself to save money. Police Bust Man for Making Meth in Walmart Arrest

St. Louis County Police said the man was stealing items to make methamphetamine.

A Mehlville man was charged April 19 with attempting to make methamphetamine after he was caught stealing cold medicine Dec. 26 at the South County Walmart, St. Louis County Police said in a report. According to the report, Cody Gibbs, 39, of the 600 block of Beatrice Avenue, was caught stealing Sudafed and trespassing at the Walmart on Telegraph Road.
