Man Assaults Mother, Takes Car, Crashes into Seven Holy Founders Building
The woman told police her son returned without the car and told her he ran into a building.
A 35-year-old man assaulted his mother, took her car keys, stole her car and later drove it into the former Seven Holy Founders School building in Affton Tuesday, police said. William Hoffee, 35, of the 4900 block of Fyler Avenue in South St. Louis, was charged Wednesday with second-degree robbery, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. St. Louis County Police said Hoffee assaulted his mother at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 9900 block of Pointe South Drive in the Concord area of South St Louis County. He then took her car keys and debit card and left in her vehicle, police said.
