Two new restaurants are coming to Telegraph Road--and they're both from familiar faces to the Mehlville and Lemay dining scene. Genesis Catering owner Matt Casalone is opening an Italian-influenced family restaurant near his banquet hall, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Casalone told the Post-Dispatch carry-out will be available for families on the go. Post-Dispatch is also reporting that the long-awaited Cafe Telegraph will finally open in the former Rec Room up the road in Lemay. The spot will offer pizza for those St. Louisans who aren't so in love with provel, according to the report. Enjoy a pizza buffet, go-karting, bumper cars, games, and laser tag at this Route 66-themed entertainment center. Around 8,000 people have visited the renovated Lindbergh Boulevard space before its Dec. 20 grand opening, staff said.
America's Incredible Pizza Co. recently invested $1.5 million to renovate the former Hammer's Food and Fun, 5254 S. Lindberg Blvd. The Crestwood-Sunset Hills, Affton, and South County Chambers of Commerce welcomed the rejuvenated pizza place and family entertainment center to Lindbergh Boulevard this week. It officially opens to the public on Dec. 20. Some customers may remember the space was once called America's Incredible Pizza Co. The previous franchise owner broke away from AIC and opened as Hammer’s Food and Fun earlier this year, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The 60,000 complex behind Ronnie's Plaza is vibrant with 1950s and Route 66 themes. The buffet includes pizza, pasta, other finger foods, soups, and desserts. In addition …

The proposal drew a strong reaction from the community during a public hearing in June 2011.
Construction on a Dunkin’ Donuts has started in the Telegraph Shopping Center, and an open date is predicted in October or November. Approved by the county more than a year ago, the doughnut shop drew concerns from the community. Residents in a nearby subdivision shared concerns over traffic at a public hearing in June 2011. The space was a formerly a Jazzercise exercise facility, which received a “Notice to Terminate Tenancy,” with a one-month notice to relocate. Webster Groves-based Breihan Properties owns the shopping center. The proposed fast food restaurant will be a freestanding building with 32 seats on the inside and 12 seats on the outside. It is also expected to eliminate 31 of the shopping center’s 368 parking spaces. …

See which businesses could be moving into the abandon property.
An old house might be converted into businesses at the space between Mehlville High School and St. Anthony’s Lemay Urgent Care. The 2-acre lot would hold two companies: Kyle’s Landscaping and ServPro of Oakville and Mehlville. ServePro restores homes and businesses from floods and fires. The two business owners—Kyle Lang and Kevin Thole—submitted a request to change the zoning of the land from a residential to a planned commercial district. At a public hearing on Monday, five people symbolically voted in favor of the business and zero voted against. The St. Louis County Planning Commission will vote to approve or deny the request at a meeting Sept. 10. Lang and Thole, who both live in the area, bought the land from an auction. A …
