Bain's Cool Under Pressure Carries John Burroughs To Chaminade Tourney Title For Second Straight Year

Senior guard knocked down two huge shots in the final minute of regulation to bring Bombers back from seven points down, in eventual 50-46 overtime win over Pattonville.

CREVE COEUR -- With just over one minute left in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s Chaminade Christmas Tournament championship game against Pattonville, John Burroughs senior Trevor Bain had made just one shot. He’d only taken two shots the entire game at that point, and had spent most of the night helping set up the Bomber offense, while also playing superb defense against the Pirates litany of ultra-quick guards. But with his team down by seven points, and so close to possibly suffering their first loss of the season, Bain stepped up and knocked down two clutch long range shots that helped Burroughs force overtime.
