The case is now set for the grand jury, where upgraded charges will be considered in the case of the woman who stomped on her own grandmother because she thought she was a demon.
The 92-year-old woman stomped and thrown by her daughter who believed she was a demon, died from her injuries on Monday at an area hospital. Her death means her granddaughter, Rachel Armstrong, 37, of the 10000 block of Golf Crest in South County, could face escalated charges from the St. Louis County prosecuting attorney's office. Armstrong is currently charged with first-degree elder abuse after throwing down her grandmother and stomping on her, breaking both her arms and eight ribs on Nov. 12. Armstrong told police she believed her grandmother was a demon and confessed to the attack. The police presented additional information to the county prosecuting attorney on Tuesday after Armstrong’s 92-year-old grandmother died of her injuries. …
