Rams Coach Has Championship Rings, Electronics Stolen From Home

Police said two men stole NFC championship and Big 12 championship rings among other items from the home.

Two men stole more than $28,000 in electronics and jewelry, including NFC championship ring and Big 12 championship rings, on Dec. 31 from the Kirkwood home of Rob Boras, the St. Louis Rams tight ends coach. James Bright, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Drive in High Ridge, and Jeffrey Medcalf, of the 1100 block of Briarhurst in West County, were charged Friday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing more than $25,000, a class B felony. Kirkwood Police said the men broke into Boras’ home at about 1:28 p.m. Dec. 31. Congratulations to third-grader Scott Bellovich, who won a contest to have linebacker James Laurinaitis come to school with him Tuesday.

Third grader Scott Bellovich and his father are like most people—they enter contests but never expect to win. So imagine their surprise when the Bellovich family received a phone call telling them they won a contest presented by Verizon, and the prize was taking Rams star linebacker James Laurinaitis to school. On Tuesday morning, December 11th, Scott and Laurinaitis headed off to Wohlwend Elementary School, but instead of a bus they arrived in a limo. Laurinaitis spent 20 minutes in Scott’s third grade class, and sat on the floor as the teacher was lecturing about the life of Abraham Lincoln.
