Ronnie's Theater Hosts Special Screening Benefiting Police Tonight

Join Fred Bird, police dogs, law enforcement officials and their families tonight and Heroes Behind the Badge, a documentary about our men and women in blue.

A one-night-only film screening tonight of Heroes Behind the Badge, a documentary about police men and women who put their lives on the line, will benefit local families of first responders killed in action. Police officers, their families, South County residents and even Fred Bird are turning out for the double screening at Wehrenberg Ronnie's 20 Theater.  Heroes Behind the Badge, released in October 2012, tells the story of men and women in law enforcement who sacrifice their safety as part of their call to duty and promises to change the way viewers think about police officers. Colorado Batman Shooting Prompts Tougher Security at Ronnie's Theater

Ronnie's theater on Lindbergh Boulevard will have extra security following the shooting in Colorado.

St. Louis County Police are beefing up security at Ronnie's 20 Cinema after a man gunned down 12 people at the première of "The Dark Knight Rises" near Denver, CO. At approximately 1 a.m. Friday, a man wearing a gas mask entered the theater during the midnight showing of the newest Batman movie, hurled a gas canister and then began shooting, the Associated Press reported.  At least 50 are injured and 12 have been confirmed dead.  Police took 24-year old James Holmes into custody for the shooting early Friday morning.
