Oakville Man Tased for Resisting Arrest

An Oakville man faces charges related to defying an order of protection that protected his wife, police said. Robert Stockwood, 53, of Oakville, was charged Feb. 22 with violating a protection order and resisting arrest. St. Louis County Police said Stockwood had been served with an order of protection Feb. 17, prohibiting him from communicating with his wife or being at her home in the 4400 block of Forder Oaks Drive in Oakville. Police said he entered the home through an unlocked door and begged his wife to let him stay at the house. The woman told police she didn’t call for help because she was afraid, but left the home.
