Mehlville University Student Given Award from SIU Alumni Association
Julie Schroeter was among 40 Southern Illinois University students who were awarded textbooks and supplies.
A university student from Mehlville was among 40 people who received an award from the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association earlier this month. Julie Schroeter, a senior who is studying animal science, is one of the recipients. On Jan. 15, the association gave more than $20,000 to support the financial needs of the students, a news release notes. “Attending SIU has allowed me to gain experience and education in my area of study, animal science, and in my transition from child to adult," stated Schroeter in the news release.
