Historic Guns Stolen from Jefferson Barracks Civil War Exhibit

Four historic pistols displayed at the Jefferson Barracks Historic Site were stolen from the Civil War in the West exhibit.

While packing up a museum exhibit at Jefferson Barracks Historic Site, museum administrators noticed four pistols had gone missing. The missing pistols include: The pistols were part of the Civil War in the West exhibit at Jefferson Barracks. The historic site posted photos of the stolen guns on Facebook, including close-up shots of the guns' serial numbers. "Let's bring these sacred artifacts back where they belong...Our JB Historical Site," wrote Greg Freivogel on the site's Facebook page. Call the St. Louis County Police with any information about the guns.

Police: Teen Stole $4,000 in Jewelry, Sold to Gold Buyer

St. Louis County Police said the burglary in the 8700 block of New Hampshire was Sept. 14.

An Affton teenager is accused of breaking into a home, stealing and selling jewelry in a Sept. 14 incident. Devin Brower, 18, of the 5300 block of Willard Avenue in Affton, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. St. Louis County Police said the resident came home for lunch Sept. 14 and discovered several pieces of jewelry, with total value estimated at $4,000, had been stolen from the home in the 8700 block of New Hampshire. Police said they discovered the jewelry had been sold to a gold buyer in the city of St. Louis. Brower was arrested and accused of the burglary and theft.
