Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About Doug

I started out with Patch doing listings in 2010. When the Patches started going live, I began freelancing writing for Maplewood-Brentwood. My main gig was covering Maplewood Richmond Heights sports. I also took charge of the Blue Devils Facebook page.

I'm now happy to be the Maplewood-Brentwood editor.

I'm a Michigan State Spartan, and was there to witness the Magic Johnson-Larry Bird NCAA season, which of course was awesome.

My degree is in industrial design, and my first job was with Nike research and development. I got into journalism through shooting for papers, while there, in Exeter, New Hampshire.

In St. Louis I covered a couple seasons of the Cards, the football Cardinals and the Blues while a stringer for the Associated Press.

I love the cooperative effort Patch staffers and community members contribute to make Patch what it is.

Hi Doug,
My name is Kailey. I'm the editor of The Chip at Maplewood Richmond Heights High School. We have had a partnership with The Patch this year through Ryan Martin that allows The Chip reporters to publish their stories on the Maplewood-Brentwood Patch. I wanted to check and see if you were also okay with that. Look forward to working with you in the future!
Thanks,
Kailey
