ReplyHi Diana, I know it can be confusing! There are two council seats in each of the city's 4 wards. One seat in each ward is up for election every other year. Ms. Lang was reelected to her seat in April 2012. Her term would have ended in April 2014. Jason Fulbright ran uncontested for the other Ward 1 seat, which was Doris Borgelt's. Rather than running to be reelected to her Ward 1 seat this year, Borgelt ran for the mayoral position. Hope that helps!
