Man Accused of Breaking Girlfriend's Nose, Choking Her to Unconsciousness

A man broke his girlfriend’s nose with a headbutt, punched her and choked her until she lost consciousness on Wednesday, May 22, police said.

Aaron Hewitt, 31, of the 2800 block of Black Forest Drive in Oakville, was charged last Thursday with first-degree domestic assault.

St. Louis County Police said Hewitt attacked his girlfriend at their home “in attempt to kill or seriously injure” the woman.

The woman lost consciousness while being choked, suffered a broken nose and bruises to her face and chest wall, police report.

Hewitt is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $75,000.
